I count how many visitors visit my website using a tool that is installed on my own servers. That's it. There are two reasons why I do this. The first one is to make sure that if I get a lot of visits, the machines running the website can automatically adapt to the number of visitors without slowing down the website. The second one is to improve my writing by seeing how much attention and clicks each article gets. This helps me a lot.
